Who this applies to

This page applies to every service of the Chakloon package operated by Haydamax OÜ, registry code 17351554, Narva mnt 5, 10117 Tallinn, Estonia. It forms part of the Terms of Service and is read together with the Privacy Policy and the Child Safety Standards.

All Chakloon services are used with one account, Chakloon Passport. The age you give when you create that account decides which services you may use.

Minimum ages

  • 16 years for Chakloon Passport and for every service that is opened with it, including the social network Chakloon, Chakloon Net, Chakloon News, Chakloon Weather, Zori, Chacki, Chak, Chakloon Sign, Chakloon Papers, Chakloon Legal and Chakloon NIC.
  • 18 years for Chakloon Chat, on the web at chat.chakloon.com and in the Android app.

If the law of the country where you live sets a higher age for using such services or for giving consent to the processing of your personal data, the higher age applies to you. We do not open accounts for younger people, even with the consent of a parent.

Paid services, such as Chakloon Ads, Chakloon Console and paid use of Chakloon Platform, are contracts. You may order them only if you are able to conclude a binding contract under the law that applies to you, and, if you act for a company, only if you are entitled to act for it.

How we check age

When you register, you enter your date of birth. Chakloon Passport checks it and does not create an account for a person younger than 16. Chakloon Chat checks the same date of birth and does not open for a person younger than 18.

Giving a false date of birth is a breach of the Terms of Service. We do not ask for identity documents at registration. If we have reason to believe that an account belongs to a person below the required age, for example after a report, a message from a parent or the content of the account itself, we may ask the account holder to confirm their age and restrict the account while we review it.

Accounts of under-age users

  • If the holder of a Chakloon Passport account is younger than 16, we close the account. The account then no longer opens any Chakloon service.
  • If a person aged 16 or 17 uses Chakloon Chat, we close their access to Chakloon Chat. The Chakloon Passport account and the other services remain available.

When an account is closed for age, we delete the personal data connected with it without undue delay, except data we must keep by law or need to protect a child, such as records of reports, which are kept for up to 12 months, and payment records, which are kept for 7 years under accounting law. Messages that the person already sent to others stay in those conversations, in the same way as after any account deletion.

The closing of an account for age is a decision about the account, and the person concerned receives a statement of reasons and can appeal it as described in Content moderation and appeals.

Parents and guardians

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child uses a Chakloon service below the minimum age, write to privacy@chakloon.com. Give the handle of the account (@name) or the e-mail address it was registered with, and the service where you saw it. We do not need your child's documents to act on such a message.

If your child is in danger, or someone is contacting your child for sexual purposes, write to child-safety@chakloon.com. Such messages are handled with the highest priority. If there is an immediate danger, call the police first.
