Chak Acceptable Use Policy
What you may and may not link to with Chak profile pages and short links, how we check links and how to report a dangerous one.
Version 1.0In force from October 16, 2026Updated: October 16, 2026All versions
This policy applies to Chak at chak.uno, a service of Haydamax OÜ, Estonia. It supplements the general Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy and does not replace them.
What Chak is
Chak gives you a personal profile page under your handle with your name, picture and links, and short links that send visitors on to another address. For a short link you can make a QR code and see click statistics.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the content of your profile page and for every address your links lead to. The Community Guidelines apply to profile pages, including texts and pictures. Link only to destinations that you know to be lawful and safe, and check them again if they change.
Forbidden destinations
A Chak link or profile page must not lead to:
- phishing: pages that imitate sign-in or payment forms or collect passwords and card details;
- malware: viruses, spyware, unwanted software, downloads that start without the visitor's choice;
- scams: fake shops, fake investments and prizes, requests for advance payments;
- illegal content, such as the sale of prohibited goods, calls to violence or terrorism, hate speech or content that infringes the rights of others;
- child sexual abuse material or any sexualisation of minors; we report such material to the competent authorities and may also report it to NCMEC, see Child safety;
- addresses hidden behind a short link to get around filters, blocks or moderation elsewhere, including chains of redirects and pages that show checkers one thing and people another;
- spam campaigns: mass distribution of links through unsolicited messages, comments, mail or fake accounts.
A profile page must not impersonate another person, organisation or brand.
How we check links
Every link is checked automatically when it is created, when it is edited and then every hour. The check applies rules, for example an IP address in place of a domain name, a punycode name, a known brand inside someone else's domain, executable files, free hosting and chains of shorteners, and compares the address with the lists URLhaus (abuse.ch), Phishing.Database and CERT Polska. Depending on the result, the link is not created, opens only through a warning page, or is blocked and answers with HTTP 410. The owner of the link is notified. Repeated cases lead to restriction of the account. We also check links after reports from people.
Depending on the case we may:
- show a warning page before the destination;
- disable a short link or remove content from a profile page;
- refuse to create a short link to a certain address;
- suspend or close the account.
Accounts that repeatedly link to manifestly illegal content are suspended after a warning. For every restriction, including a warning page placed on your link and a decision of the automatic check, you receive a statement of reasons: what was decided, on which facts and rules, whether automated means were used and how to appeal. If the automatic check has hit your link by mistake, appeal, and a person reviews the case.
Warning pages
Before a visitor reaches the destination, we may show an intermediate page saying that the link leads to another site, that it has been reported or that it may be dangerous. The visitor decides whether to continue or go back. A warning does not mean that the link has been found illegal, and the absence of a warning does not guarantee that a destination is safe.
Click statistics
The owner of a link sees how many times it was opened, in aggregated counts, for example by country, device and browser. We do not show the owner the IP addresses, names or accounts of visitors, we do not count unique visitors, and we do not use the statistics to follow individual visitors or to build profiles of them.
For every click we store the time, the country, the device and browser, the referring domain, the full User-Agent string, the full Referer and a mark whether the click came from a bot. The country code is derived from the IP address by our own geo service, and the IP address itself is not stored with the click. Visitors of links and profile pages get no cookies and nothing in local storage from Chak. More is in the Privacy Policy.
How to report a link
If a Chak link or profile page breaks this policy:
- use the Report button on the profile page, on the warning page or at the bottom of a Chak page, which leads to chak.chakloon.com/report, or write to abuse@chak.uno or abuse@chakloon.com;
- give the full short link or the address of the profile page;
- say briefly what is wrong with it, for example phishing, malware or a scam.
Reports sent with the Report button are registered as cases in the case system of Chakloon. To notify illegal content formally, use the notice form in Report illegal content. Send anything involving the sexual abuse of children to child-safety@chakloon.com at once. Notices about child safety and threats to life are handled immediately, other notices without undue delay, as a rule within 24 hours.
Appeals
If we have disabled your link or restricted your account, you can appeal within six months by replying to the decision or by writing to legal@chakloon.com. A different person reviews the appeal, and we answer within 14 days. Details are in Content moderation and appeals.
