Chakloon Ads

How to run an ad campaign in Chakloon Ads: formats, language targeting, the CPM auction, moderation and prepaid balance.

What it is

Chakloon Ads at chakloon.net/add is the advertiser cabinet of Chakloon. You create campaigns, upload your ads, set your price, and after moderation your ads are shown on Chakloon's own sites. We do not place ads on third-party sites and do not accept outside publishers yet.

Ads are chosen by language only: by the languages set in the visitor's browser. We do not track visitors and do not build advertising profiles. Every ad carries the label Ad.

Formats

  • Banner 970×250 (large horizontal).
  • Banner 300×300 (square).
  • Banner 300×600 (large vertical).
  • Banner 300×450 (medium vertical).
  • Text ad: picture, headline, text and your site's address, fitted to the width of the place.

A banner is a single picture and is clickable as a whole. Upload it in the exact size or twice as large in the same proportion. If you have no banner of the size a place needs, a banner is built from your text ad automatically.

Create a campaign

  1. Open chakloon.net/add and sign in with your Chakloon Passport.
  2. Create a campaign and choose the languages of the audience. With no language chosen, the campaign can be shown in any language.
  3. Add your text ad and, if you like, banners for the four sizes. Every picture opens in a cropper where you can frame it.
  4. Set your price per 1 000 impressions (CPM) and, if you want, a budget limit.
  5. Send the campaign to moderation. After approval it starts showing as long as there is money on your balance.

Price and auction

You set the price for 1 000 counted impressions, from 0.50 EUR. You can pay a fixed price, or let the system bid automatically up to your maximum: then you pay the bid of the next competitor plus a small step, never more than your maximum. The highest bid is shown first. You can change the price and the budget of a running campaign without new moderation.

Balance and payment

Chakloon Ads is prepaid: impressions are charged to your balance. Card payment is not switched on yet. To top up now:

  1. In the Billing section, send a top-up request with the amount.
  2. You receive an invoice. Pay it by bank transfer; the bank details are on the invoice.
  3. After the payment arrives, the amount is credited to your balance.

In Billing you also see your spending by day and by campaign.
